My experience in Phuket prompted me to book a Secret Food Tour in Bangkok and I was not disappointed. Alex is the tour guide for Bangkok Secret Food Tours and he took me on a food and cultural journey in Chinatown that delighted me.
I ate some old favourites like Papaya Salad and fresh pineapple and enjoyed some interesting new tastes and flavours like Hot Ginger Soup with Lotus Bun, Soy Sauce Ice cream, Fried bun with lava and Thai Milk Tea. In all the tour took 3 hours and I ate nine courses. My little tummy was very full but I worked it all off the next day on a 100km ride to Ayutthaya.
Way to go ,Elred! This is more fun than watching Master chef, loved the pics of the railway market.
Thanks Gil. I’m so enjoying the food experience – every night I eat something different at a street food market.
All sounds delicious. I was waiting to read about the “unusual delicacies” that you ate 🙂
Hi Jean – tonight at the market was a selection of grasshoppers, crickets and other unidentifiable creepy crawlies as well as grilled frogs but somehow…uh uh not just yet!
Can’t be worse than eating a live oyster at the market Elred…?? Easy peasy… 😜👍😁😍 …… SO happy I’m receiving your newsletter updates now, watching your progress with much envy and respect!! 🏆
