First day out, I had an amazing send off from some seriously experienced cyclists who happened to be in the Lodge with me. I’ll try to get their pics, I was so nervous this morning that I did not think of it. Yon from Tree In Lodge where I was staying (awesome place), Misha and William from Aruba (Yes I confess that I had to Google it so you can go ahead now!) and Nino from Switzerland helped me load the bike, gave me last minute advice, wished me well, took pics of me and were so supportive and kind that I felt well blessed and more confident as I set off – albeit with a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat as I acknowledged the immense kindness of strangers. Thank you all. Also thanks to everyone who has commented and sent feedback on my blog. I so appreciate having you right beside me as I ride.
It was an easy ride through the City and countryside of Singapore, Immigration on both sides was simple and efficient, It took 2 minutes to get a 90 day visa for Malaysia and I was on my way into Johar Bahru, which is the 3rd largest city in Malaysia. On arrival there is always stuff to be done, money, cold-drink, sim card and data, go sit in an air conditioned mall for 30 mins to cool down before cycling to the accommodation
I will update as much as circumstances permit but probably not every day, Tomorrow I have a 50km ride to Kota Tinggi. I’ll start very early to try to avoid the intense heat of the day and I have a big ride on Friday, 92km to Mersing. On Sat I catch the ferry to Tioman Island for a 5 day diving course. That’s probably when I’ll have time to update again.
Nice boobs..treasure them, they won’t be around for long 🙂
